Yes I think so. I see owls as beings who dwell in secrecy, clothed in mysticism and crowned in wisdom. I have a difficulty of treating them like ordinary animals, I always thought of them as a goddess’ messenger, a witch in disguise somewhat along the lines of that. I fear them yet I like them, their eyes stares at you and pierces your soul, I think they could see behind masks, seeing what truly lies below the surface. They are nocturnal and their affiliation with the moon only adds to their mystery because most magical things happens at night. Above all I really admire how films and books depicts owls being the wisest among all. Sometime before I saw one and I noticed it looked more like a cat with wings and it became my inspiration to create this. I also watched Avatar (Aang) and there was this episode with a giant owl guarding this very important library that housed the wisdom of the ages and I find owls,books and libraries a great match for they all depict wisdom and knowledge. Love to answer these kind of questions. Thanks :x
